President Mandela and the Rapporteur

The Rapporteur worked for the President Mandela as a Senior policy Analyst in the Presidency of South Africa (2007-2007) and Director of the Office of the Status of Disabled Persons in the Presidency of South Africa (1996-2001). The Rapporteur spoke many personal experiences of him with the President Mandela, which is one of the many things that I have enjoyed listening to. If you are interested in them, please do ask from the Rapporteur next time when you meet him. Both of them are human rights defenders.

Respect.

2-7.12. Mission to Madrid

The Rapporteur participated in an OHCHR meeting on education.

11-15.11. Mission to El Salvador

During this mission, the Rapporteur met a number of government officials, DPOs, UN country office staff and so forth including Deputy Minister of Health, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Minister of Public Works, Human Rights Ombudsman and Members of the Congress dealing with disability. An official report of the Rapporteur will be submitted to the Secretariat of the CRPD shortly.
